A renewable energy future for the Stafford & Stone area

The Stafford & Stone Green Party are committed to encouraging renewable energy

Solar water heaters will typically save you around £40 every year and the average solar electricity installation can save up to £200 on your annual electricity bill. Not to mention the 1 tonne of CO2 you are likely to save. We believe in providing as many people as possible low cost loans so that they can have clean, renewable energy. In Kirklees, West Yorkshire, homes now generate an astonishing 5% of the UK's total solar energy thanks to the local Green Party councillors.

Stafford Borough Council should take the lead in combating climate change and can do so by equipping the buildings they own and control with solar water heating, solar electricity and wind generators. They should also introduce and promote low cost loans and encourage renewable energy in the area. If Kirklees council can do it in West Yorkshire (with constant campaigning from the Green Party) then surely we can bring the same outcomes from our local borough council with your help.
