Free Insulation for all residents of the Stafford & Stone

The Stafford & Stone Green Party are committed to providing free insulation to every home that needs it..

 The carbon emissions from homes are accounting for a massive 21% of the total emissions in the UK in 2005 and by undertaking this program the Stafford and Stone area can take the lead in helping to cut carbon emissions by as much as 25%. The residents of Stafford and Stone also benefit, insulating every home cuts fuel bills in the average home by half, this is especially important with rising energy prices. At a time when we are all looking after the pennies, this ensures that everybody and especially vulnerable people don’t need to worry about spending more money than those better off to stay warm.

Help Telford and Wrekin follow in the footsteps of Kirklees, Huddersfield where Green councilors have made sure that 40,000 households will receive around £400 worth of insulation absolutely free of charge.
